History
We will be developing an awareness of changes in toys over time. We will look at toys from the past and current day, using common words and phrases related to the passing of time. To investigate the past we will identify and explore in a personal way; finding out what toys were like when we were babies, what was our favourite toy and what did our older relatives play with too.
Geography
We will think about what our classroom is like, what street is it situated on and where we are in the country. We will explore maps, compasses and use observational skills to study the geography of our school and its grounds. We will be thinking about the key human and physical features of its surrounding environments. We will discuss seasons in the UK and how the weather can differ from other countries.
