English in the Autumn Term

During this term, we will be exploring the following texts:

'Peace at Last' by Jill Murphy 

Within this text, we will be exploring: character descriptions, setting descriptions.

'Hodgeheg' by Dick King-Smith

Within this text, we will be creating a fact file about hedgehogs. 

'Here We Are' by Oliver Jeffers

Within this text, we will be exploring poetry and rhyming, making a guide for planet Earth and looking at setting descriptions. 

Poetry:

Within the poetry portion of our English teaching in Autumn, we will be focusing on rhyming and introduce 'acrostic' poems using the word 'Autumn'.
