In our first term of Year 2, we look at changes over time, with a particular focus on Pirates and Florence Nightingale and the impact that she had on hospitals and healthcare. This unit builds on significant events that have happened in the past e.g. the famous female pirate 'Grace O'Malley' and the influence of Florence Nightingale on hospitals and healthcare. This builds on their knowledge of the ‘past’, changes over time and how this impacts on the present.
