Year 1 

Welcome to Year 1's class page.

On here, you can take a look at what we will be learning throughout each term, as well as keep track of any important reminders for the children.

If you have any questions about what the children will be exploring, then please do ask a member of the Year 1 team.

This term in Year 1, we will be looking at:

• Reading Practice: We will explore decoding, prosody and comprehension within our focused books. 
• English: We will be exploring Beegu and Man on the Moon.
• Maths: We are going to be exploring Addition and subtraction, numbers to 40, length and height and shapes .
• Science: We will be investigating animals and humans.
• Humanities:  We will be learning all about my school in Geography and space in history.. 
• Art: We will be exploring the work of Andy Warhol in our Art sessions. 
• Computing: We will be looking at animated stories. 

In addition to our PSHE lessons, we will have regular discussions about the importance of the PANTS rule with all children.
