Welcome to Year 1's class page.

On here, you can take a look at what we will be learning throughout each term, as well as keep track of any important reminders for the children.

If you have any questions about what the children will be exploring, then please do ask a member of the Year 1 team.

This term in Year 1, we will be looking at:

• Reading Practice: We will explore decoding, prosody and comprehension within our focused books. 
• English: We will be exploring a Fiction book called 'Peace At Last' by Jill Murphy.
• Maths: We are going to be exploring 'Addition and subtraction'.
• Science: We will be investigating 'Materials'.
• Humanities:  We will be learning all about The World and My School in Geography this half term. 
• Art/D&T: We will be exploring the work of Giuseppe Archimboldo in our Art sessions. 
• Computing: We will learn how to login to our Purple Mash and create our avatars. 

As well as our PSHE lessons, we will have regular discussions about the importance of the PANTS rule with all children.
