SEN
Special Educational Needs
At Windy Arbor, we treat every child as an individual; offering the level of support appropriate to the child. We are committed to ensuring our SEND learners reach their full potential, enabling them to lead a full and fulfilling life as part of their community.
We believe all children should have a broad and balanced curriculum including access to extra-curricular activities: clubs, trips, School Council and social events. Every effort is made to include all children in such activities, making whatever extra provision is required available.
Currently we have 127 pupils on the SEND register which makes up 32% of the school population. 6% of the pupils in school have EHCPs which is above the national average for a mainstream school.
