We are Windy Arbor School Council. We help children to Dream, Believe and Achieve. We aim to improve every child's experience at school so that children can have a positive attitude about school.

Our School Council Charter outlines what we believe, our aims and how we work.

What we do...

Every other week we attend a meeting in the meeting room where we discuss issues that arise in the school. Sometimes these come from our School Council discussion time in class, sometimes from the Head or teachers in the school.

Our secretary types the minutes of each meeting and we start the next meeting by reading and correcting the minutes of our previous meeting.

14th February 2023

School Council Earthquake Appeal

The school council want to raise money to help the poor people made homeless by the recent Earthquake in Turkey and Syria. They are organising a non uniform day this Friday 17th February. Children can come to school wearing red and white, the colours of the Turkish flag, and bring a donation to the appeal. They will spend the afternoon learning about the earthquake and how the charity donations are helping the people affected. They will also write postcards to the children of Turkey and Syria to let them know we are thinking of them.

We raised £350 for the earthquake appeal with our non uniform day.

Below are some of the post cards we created for the children in Turkey and Syria.
