Other activities that are great for strengthening your child's hand and finger muscles can include,

 

  • Threading pasta on to a piece of string
  • Mr Potato Head games
  • Pinching pegs to attach them to a piece of material or ribbon

We use pattern marks to encourage children to begin moving mark-making tools in different directions and in different ways, here are some examples of the marks that we will be learning to make in Nursery this year:
