Meals - Prosper Eats

Prosper Eats at Windy Arbor Primary School

What it costs

• Reception, Year 1 and Year 2: free for every child
• Years 3 to 6: £2.90 a day, or £14.50 a week

Free school meals

Every child in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 gets a free school lunch. You don't need to apply.

From Year 3, your child can get free school meals if you receive Universal Credit, regardless of your household income. This rule changed in September 2026, so you may qualify now even if you didn't before.

It takes a few minutes to apply through Solihull Council:

• Go to www.solihull.gov.uk, choose 'Apply for it', then 'Schools'
• Or call the council on 0121 704 6611

If your child is in Reception to Year 2 and you receive Universal Credit, please still apply. It brings extra funding into the school for your child.
