WB - 24.01.22 Hickory Dickory Dock

This week in Nursery we are learning and exploring the nursery rhyme:

'Hickory Dickory Dock'

Hickory Dickory Dock

We will be ordering the grandfather clocks and mice by size; which is the biggest? Which is the smallest? Which one is middle-sized/medium?

We will be using wooden blocks to create our own clocks and discuss which 2D shapes we are using and their properties, we will add a clock face and introduce some language of time

We will think about things that we do in our day, which do we do first, next and last?

We will be using buttons and helping to sew our own mitten mice!

We will be changing some of the words in the nursery rhyme and thinking about rhyming words, can you have a go at home?

For 'Share a Story' we will be sharing 'The Clock Tower from The Literacy Shed (see the link below)

We will then think about and have a go at answering some of these questions to gain a deeper understanding of the story
