It's that time of year when we introduce the Nativity story, in preparation for our special

Christmas performance. 

We will discuss the characters and settings and choose the characters that we want to play in our Christmas production.

We will use our knowledge of the story to sequence events.

In Phonics, we will be learning the following

'Phase 2' sounds.

Listen carefully to how each sound is pronounced.

We will learn new tricky words.

We will be learning to write the letters that we have been learning in phonics.

We will use our phonic and handwriting skills to write labels for special gifts for a special baby.

We will segment sounds in simple words.

We will be challenged to write words that include digraphs - (2 letters 1 sound)
