This week, we will be exploring

We will explore the meaning of new words.

We will segment and blend sounds to read words, change our voices to match the different characters and answer questions to show that we understand the story!
In 'Phonics', we will be focusing on
the following sounds:
Remember, 'digraphs have 2 letters 1 sound' and 'trigraphs 3 letters 1 sound'.
Look and listen carefully!

We will be practising to read the 'tricky words' within sentences. (I - is - as - the)
e.g. I can see the web up high.
Handwriting
- We will continue to practise forming the letters in our names
- We will practise spelling 'tricky words' whilst forming the letters correctly.

We will use our knowledge of letters and sounds during a range of writing opportunities.
- Create a favourite meal and label it.
- Write labels and captions to match characters and objects from the story.
During our daily maths sessions, we will be exploring, counting and comparing amounts.
We will identify more, fewer, equal and find the total of two groups of objects.
We will use concrete objects to support us to complete activities!
In P.E, we will be developing our throwing and catching skills, using a range of physical equipment.
