WB - 04.10.2021 Be Kind

This week we are supporting 'Anti-Bullying Week!'

We will be looking at the story, 'Be Kind' and thinking of ways that we can be kind to others too.

Please feel free to enjoy this story at home too and reinforce the importance of being kind!

Be Kind | A Children's Story about things that matter

What exactly is kindness? What is it to be kind? Is it being helpful? Being polite? Does it have to be a big act to be more kind? Well maybe the smallest act...

This week we will be meeting Jigsaw Jenie for the very first time…

We will take it in turns to talk and think about what we have done that is kind or what we could do to be kind in the future.

We have been learning to use our kind hands, kind feet and kind words since we started in Nursery

We are getting very good at remembering these!

This week we will be doing observational painting using water colours to paint violets, just like in the story!

We will be experimenting with mixing colours to make purple and talking about what our favourite colours are aswell, I wonder if we can make those by mixing other colours too?! Can we think of anything that is the same colour as our favourite? I like red, I always think of red buses or post boxes.

We will be beginning our phonics sessions, have a little look at our phonics icon to see some ideas you can do at home.

We will begin strengthening our finger and hand muscles ready for writing a little bit later on in our school journey by using Dough Disco!

'I like to' playdough action song

We will be introduced to pattern marks too this week, which also gets our hands ready for mark making and writing!

Please feel free to join in and do any of these activities at home with your child. If you wish, you can also upload onto ClassDojo for an extra Dojo point :)
