The Tiny Seed
As the story is being read, I wonder if you can make it more interactive by:
Making the sound of the wind;
Moving your hands like the ocean waves;
Shivering with sounds (e.g. "brrrr") on the icy mountain;
Fanning yourself with your hands in the hot desert;
And moving around like the animals, adding lots of noises for effect.
The Life Cycle of a Flower
Can you recall how the story began? Where did the seed come from? How did it travel? Where did it settle? When the seed began to grow - what did it look like?
Using the picture below, can you order the life cycle of a flower?
You could then have a go at drawing or painting your own life cycle.
Listen to the 2D shape song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WTeqUejf3D0
Can you describe the shapes you see? For example, "a circle has one curved side".
Complete the activity below:
What colour is your flower? Is it the same as the flower that grew in the story?
Can you create your own beautiful flower, just like the flower that grew at the end of the story?

After completing 'Reading Eggs' lessons, see if you can find objects that begin with the
letters 's', 'a', 't', 'p', 'i' and 'n'.
