Chick, Chick, Chicken / Easter
This week we will be learning the Nursery Rhyme, 'Chick, Chick, Chicken' and talking about Easter too.
We will be counting how many eggs we can put in to our basket and going on an egg hunt! - Which fits in very nicely with our story, 'We're Going on an Egg Hunt.' (You will find the links to the Chick, Chick, Chicken song and 'We're Going on an Egg Hunt' posted on Class Dojo).
Other rhymes we may enjoy are 'Hop Little Bunnies' and 'Little Peter Rabbit.'
We will think about patterns, such as; colour patterns, shape patterns, boy/girl patterns, and we will use paints, peg boards, the interactive whiteboard, and lots of other resources to create our own!
We need to remember that patterns are a repetitive sequence, they ALWAYS repeat themselves!
We will get our binoculars on to see if we can spot the patterns on some Easter eggs!
Can you create your own pattern at home to show your grown-up?
We are also going to be making our Easter cards for you and bringing home a little treat for ourselves either at the end of this week or the beginning of next week.
We have been working very hard so we deserve it!
