The Hodgeheg by Dick King-Smith
'If humans can, why NOT hedgehogs?"
Max the hedgehog lives across the road from the Park where there's a beautiful lily pond and plenty of juicy slugs, worms and snails! The busy road is dangerous but Max is determined to make his way across. His first attempt ends in a nasty bump on the head and, when Max tries to speak, he realises his words are all mixed up. He is no longer a hedgehog but a hodgeheg! Will Max ever make it to the other side?
This week in English, we are continuing to read 'The Hedgehog'.
We are going to read Chapter 3.
Max has learnt that the road is dangerous and clearly don't know the rules for crossing the road. Perhaps you could teach him how to cross the road safely? Remember to: STOP, LOOK and LISTEN.
